Though it is boxing day, and my initial project was to finish my 25 days of ‘Happiness is…’ posts on Christmas Eve, that obviously did not happen. We decided, as a family, to be computer free from Christmas Eve until after Christmas. It was a unanimous decision, and one we really enjoyed.
We spent Christmas Eve preparing for Christmas day dinner, then heading down to our local pup for Christmas karaoke – where Goose thoroughly enjoyed singing Jingle Bell Rocks and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. At 8pm we headed home to watch Mickey’s Christmas Carol and get ready for Santa.
It was especially nice this year to hear Goose talking about the baby Jesus, as well as Santa of course. Though we are not a religious family as such, Hubby and myself did grow up with the history and values of religion, and feel it is important for us to speak about the meaning of Christmas beyond gift-giving / getting to the kids.
Goose received his first camera for Christmas, a Vtech Kidizoom Duo Digital Camera, and one of my favorite things has been looking at the day through his eyes. I share with you all a small collection of Goose’s first pictures – Christmas day through the eyes of a 4 year old. Merry Christmas Everyone!
